Common questions
What does The Toll actually do?
The Toll puts a small, useful checkpoint in front of the apps that pull you in. When you open one on autopilot, it pauses, and to continue you clear a few photos from your camera roll. Then your scroll window opens. It doesn’t block you; it makes you notice.
Which apps can I pause?
You choose. TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, Reddit, whatever your distractions are. You set the list in the app using Apple’s Screen Time controls.
Is my data private?
Yes, completely. The Toll runs entirely on your device. There’s no cloud, no account, and no analytics. Your photos never leave your phone. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
Is it really a one-time purchase?
Yes. The Toll is a one-time purchase with no subscription: $14.99 for Individual, $29.99 for Family. You pay once and it’s yours. We’re not in the business of charging you monthly to control your own phone.
What’s the difference between Individual and Family?
Individual unlocks The Toll on your phone. Family adds Apple Family Sharing, so the people in your household can use it too, including setting a toll on a child’s device, without buying it again.
I bought it on another device. How do I restore it?
Open The Toll, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchase. As long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID (or are part of the same Family Sharing group for the Family unlock), your unlock will come back.
Does The Toll work on Android?
The Toll launches first on iPhone. If you’d like a heads-up when an Android version is ready, email us and we’ll let you know.
How do I delete my data?
Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app removes your settings with it. There’s nothing stored on a server for us to delete.
Still need a hand?
